My New Idea Creature Idea - Leader of the pack

Leader of the pack

Info
Hey!

Maybe its an idea to put leader creatures with special skills or/and auras in a pack of impanzees for example. The "normal" creatures would always follow the leader and try to protect him and when it dies they scatter around which would make them significantly weaker. The leader of a group could be an upgraded impanzee in case of the impanzees.

Edit: This can be done with any enemy creature, not just Impanzees.

It would be a nice effect, reminds me of Diablo.. But in that game the player have the advantage to attack the leader right on. In this game the player will not be able to specify the creature he wants to attack and that is a disadvantage. But it may be added when I start polishing the battle system Smile So yeah, I like the idea!

Maybe a solution is some kind of Battle Flag that you can put on 1 enemy creature that all your creatures, or the ones you assigned to the flag, will attack. This also allows for some more depth in battle, rather than plainly walk your army in and fight head on. The Battle Flag could come at some price. Not sure which that should be tho.

But indeed, first need the game up and running Smile

edit: Often its best to take out the weak ranged units before the tanky melee ones.

I have added it to Ideas & Game Features list, so I will probably return to this topic once I will deal with the problem Smile
