How to stop creatures from going to surface?
ok priolly another silly question, But i went to the surface through a portal, to check it out, killed some stuff, then came back down to the dungeon.

soon after, about every 30 seconds i keep getting battle music because imps are goin up there getting into fights and dieing.
is there a way to stop them?\

If there are resources up there or enemies to imprison they will go no matter what. There isn't a way to stop them from doing this.

*opens the dungeon hatch* ..still awfully bright out here..

The method I use is to build doors (or moving wall traps) to every portal, then lock them until you're ready to collect the bounty. Group up and flag some creatures then have them escort the imps. Keep selecting stray imps and sending them back to main raiding party. Don't let too many imps go up top - lock the door behind them if you have to. Still lose a few imps ofc, but it does keep the majority alive.

TLDR: Lock them in the dungeon.

*lassos a stray imp then slams and bolts the dungeon hatch*

oh thats a good idea.. coz often the imps will use whichever portal is closest to go up and then travel cross country, rather than travel to the correct portal underground then go up, and i suspect (i haven't checked) they will use portals that the humans have invaded from when i haven't even claimed them yet. perhaps unclaimed portals have an autolock maybe.

I meant to add this after Rasmus replied, but didn't think it necessary...

I don't mind building a block wall around a portal and adding a door.... unless trading rooms ignored the hatch - that's the only issue with locking doors, production chain fail reminders.

And... I do love the unruly nature of my imps - man they've got some focus. Tongue

*tugs hard on the hatch* bah..no oil yet Undecided

That'd be great. I don't seem to have any issues with imp going to the surface (the opposite, actually, I can't seem to make them leave the dungeon...), but when raiding the surface, I do have problems with my minions going up through any available portal, resulting in many attacking in small numbers and getting beaten pretty badly.

I forgot about this one, I will add it to my todo list, thanks for reminding me Smile

There is actually a bug in the current version prohibiting them to go up to the surface choping trees etc, but this is a main prio to have fixed with the next version Smile
