Somebody turn on a light!

Hi Dwelvers,

a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I found Dwelvers while searching on Youtube. I downloaded it 2 days ago and can't stop playing it.

I love the detail and colourful objects as well as the variation in resources. It's a pleasurable deviation from Dungeon Master which lacked that which Dwelvers now has.

I'm sure, however, there is lots more to come from your
creativeness-ness and I await with sleepless anticipation. That means you shouldn't sleep either, keep working! Wink

Thankyou very much!

Welcome to the group Dwelvalot! Yeah it has been theorized that Rasmus doesn't really sleep, but is instead intraveneously connected to an endless supply of coffee to keep him going. He has since dispelled this rumor, but I'm thinking that there is still something to it.

Well if you like what you've seen so far, just wait till 0.6. The dungeon is going 3D and a lot of changes for the good are coming up that are sure to keep you from sleeping.

Thanks for the welcome guys. And yup, still playing at 3am here -damn insomnia. No need for intravenous coffee.

I've put in a solid 6 hrs of fooling around with Dwelvers just now, trying to clear the map of all Impanzee's and root systems but my frame rate dropped too far (I know -it's not optimised yet etc) but it was fun while it lasted.

0.6. ! Cool. Looking forward to much play testing of that. It's already addictive at this early stage. Best of luck. Smile

One thing you can do at least where 0.5d is concerned is build only one really large store room. This prevents a lot of frame rate issues to a point. Another is leave the roots growing in the water alone. Imps will only gather mats on claimed paths or bridges so anything not on a path or a bridge leaves open jobs for your Imps.

The first time I cleared a map on this patch took a week of on and off playing, but using the method I mentioned earlier, I have cleared around 25% of the map in a 6hr playing period with 30 Imps.

According to his profile he visited the forum on the 12th so he's still around, just not posting any more for some reason.
