Sound great, just one thing maybe you should try to use texture separated from non comon extension ?
Like a simple .jpg/png so for edit or create one ppl ll just need some editor like gimp/photoshop ?

But i don't know how you coded the game and how you can "edit" the code.
A lot of game with mod use the simple "picture" to skin the creation.
Or a lil extention like .tex more easy to get the program for create and non a 3d one.

Hmm, not sure if I understand you Sandbox, my English can sometimes be a little off.

All textures in the game is in png format because it is compressed, the image don't lose the quality and it supports alpha blending.

I think what Club Sandbox meant was for us to have a way of editing directly the PNGs, without having to use 3dsmax. Basically, he wants an external tool to import the textures.

But do you ve .png separated from the model or they are just one compiled file ?

Example :

Folder Bones Armor >
texture.png
model.extension

If i edit the texture my skin ll change but if i can't get the file because it's compiled in another .extension i need a tool or 3ds max for that.

just an idea i wanted to throw out there

it seems like you are aiming for a somewhat realistic fantasy setting
so i thought an impanzee might be able to use an armor made for a cyclotaur as housing Smile but not wear it
and the other way round a cyclotaur might be better of using fists then a weapon ment to be used by an impanzee

i thought either using a system like :
S, M, L ( XS, S, M, L, XL )

or something where the gear is secies specific since some of the future creatures might not have a humanoid form

in both cases you could make it so that you could still use some of the gear made for other creatures in a pinch if you are willing to accept some negative effects like doing less dmg or slower movement
and maybe in other cases a very big creature could use a two handed weapon ment for an ork or a human with one hand.
