Solved & Confirmed 0.8b - Minions ignoring items
#1
After moving flag from farmland to basic room, remaining stockpiled items are being ignored by imps.

Hmm, I can't see a problem here...
When you say ignored, do you mean that you want them to move the items to the flag if they are not positioned by the flag? Because when I test it the items not being by the flag are still used for farming and so on.

Some more information about issue. If the supply chain is broken - way to flag is unavailable, and water at flag would run out imps eventually will use ignored before buckets.

Imps prefer taking fresh water from wells, than move buckets to the flag, or to the DM room etc.

If a bucket is at the flag or not doesn't matter, all the workers in the room use prioritise all items laying on the floor the same. Water buckets are a little special, the thing is that if there are no farming to do the imps will always stock up on water so that there are the same number of water buckets as there are farmland. There may even be more water buckets at some point because if there is one bucket missing and two imps both decide to fetch water at the same time as a bucket of water is delivered to the storage room, then there will be two more water buckets than there are farmland.

What I am saying with this is that if you have moved the flag so that there are a couple of buckets of water laying on the ground, then these water buckets may never be used because the imps the water bucket stock never get low enough.

If you make the path to the room flag unreachable, then nothing in the room will work, this is because the flag is used as a pathfinder in the room and should always be reachable from the whole room.

As I see it, it wouldn't make any difference except visually, but if I made it so that the imps prioritize moving all items that aren't at the flag to the flag then this issue would be solved.

This is what I got out of it, if there is no difference in gameplay when having items laying on another location than the drop point flag and that it is just an visual thing, then I need to put this in "Will be solved in future versions". I agree that it is annoying and it is something I will fix, but doing it now will take to much time.

I have fixed this issue now. All items laying around that are not at the dropping point (blue flag) will be picked up and dropped at the flag.

Solved but need confirmation Smile
