Huh? Mello who are you talking to? :d

Xaos, our Pit of the Damned is sending victim into the core of Bermuda Triangle and from there... there can be only HELL. No one have returned from that bizarre place, yet...

He is. Well, he only votes yes if they are games he would like to play, not if they are well done and deserves to be on steam. I think some of them was pretty well done and I would have voted yes for them, they are after all early access. But some of them are way to early in the dev process IMO.

It's okay for me if someone give a constructive feedback for anything, but I don't see the need to publicly say "it's a bullshit" or something like that, actually the almost whole video was about how bad is this or that game. The socially approved rule is if you don't like "bad" music you just don't listen to and no criticize it, just peacefully go away. Wink Someone can find such game a funny one and could consider buying it in it's early state and his feelings can be hurt by "that kind of" judgment... one can think: so you say YouTube guy I just bought a shit? But you haven't even play it! Also saying it's bad and that's all doesn't give his viewer any valuable information. Wink

Also saying it's a bad just by looking at pictures and videos (or that it doesn't have any video - we didn't have any trailer for a long time, so that makes Dwelvers unworthy to test out?) makes him looking like a quite selfish man with high ego - he sounds like: listen you're bad because I'm saying it - there is one guy under Dwelvers steam reviews that just say Dwelvers is a poor version of another game - results? He got 100% of dislikes for that, why? Because no one likes people who are only bullying towards anything especially if one find it enjoyable. Also as I saw Fabian got dislikes in equal number to likes for probably the same reason I've described above - that is like an instant headshot for his channel.

IMHO, if there are games seems to be placed on Steam too early then, well, it'll never get enough attention to allow it's developers to live from their game sales right? Too bad for them, but that's a consequence of making "wrong" choices. Dwelvers is thankfully on a good way to be an amazing, long-living game and I would be evil... I mean angry if someone call it a bull... Dwelvers IMO it's too well being developed that skilfully uses mechanics of some old game franchises for just being called like that. Someone who is saying something like that I would immediately throw into the Pit of the Damned! Cool :d

And see this is the up and down side of the Indie game landscape. There are some really good ideas out there that deserve support, but there is a large amount of poorly designed and uninteresting garbage some of which were clearly made by someone who saw a tutorial on Unity and said 'hey, I can make a game'. I like giving indie games a chance when they show potential, but a lot of those games were shit Tongue Yeah, hey I'm back in the land of the living again.

Any idea how to increase our players interest in bug solving quest? Steam community seems to be much more active and plenty of players than Dwelvers MyBB forums... I wonder if the same list of need to be confirmed as solved bugs should appear there in separate threads made each time new when new version release - sort of bug testing series like Dwelvers Journal for bugs lol.

I think the format of Steam forums don't lend themselves to being a useful mechanism for tracking bugs. The real problem with the format is that it intermingles with suggestions and whatever other topic is up for conversation. You may also have to dig through a page or 2 to find what bugs are already reported or to track back on a bug you're working on. Let's face it, most people aren't going to dig through the forum pages to make sure they aren't duplicating a listed issue.

It would be nice to revisit the Steam ID port for MyBB forums. This way people who are already logged into Steam can just browse directly to this site to post/review issues. I've seen it functional on another MyBB forum so it's possible, and perhaps that would encourage more reporting here.

Yes, ppl on Steam forums would only at least in thread with bugs listed there say if any bug marked as solved but need confirmation is actually solved, but they more likely won't be willing to jump through other sites to read more about them..
Hmm... maybe there should be some built-in game window with listed bugs with short description provided so players who would find a bug or want to test if something that was an issue is no longer existing in the game... or just found a bug-tracking software (i.e. Mantis) and eventually connect that software with game.

That's also a solution, at least for the sake of not forcing people to create any new account, but just enable them to log in via Steam account to eventually post some confirmations. Rasmus can't resign with MyBB forums because game is also sold via other stores than Steam, however idk if latest plugins would work property with actual version on MyBB of this forum. Maybe I'll do some tests later with that.

I know that they have an updated pluggin for 1.8, but I looked into it further and it appears it would disable and replace the current login method. It's too bad we couldn't migrate to vBulletin. I know they've had a working Steam pluggin for a good bit now, and they may even have a general OpenID pluggin to allow sign-ins from other sources like Facebook, or Google. Having a FB Share button could also increase exposure.

Yea, unfortunately. That's why we need other option than forum changing.

It's just about to get more bug testers within players so maybe it may be better if bugs were reported from in-game message system between bugs database and player (many new games have built-in Customer Care system), but that player would be informed about getting feedback about their report (like need for clarification or just info about changed status of the report). If it comes to crashes or bug reports that couldn't be sent via game because of reasons than at least application should allow user to send report immediately after game closes. Also there should be some rewards for helping with finding and confirming bugs.
