Solved & Confirmed 0.9 - Portrait selection not working for groups
#1
Not sure if bug or just not implemented
I was testing units groups. Trying to select all orcs by clicking on the race portrait works as expected, but cant form a group like this. Ctrl + 1 does nothing if you select them this way. (tested click selecting individually and that works so the issue should be within selection method when creating the group).

Not providing a save file beacuse I think it is widespread but let me know if you need it anyway.

Hmm, not sure I understand the issue. Perhaps you could elaborate a little more? Just to make sure if this is a user error or a bug I explain what should work, if something is wrong with this or something is missing then let me know.

- Selecting creatures can be done by holding down shift and clicking on the creature type portrait or by holding down shift and dragging over creatures in the dungeon.
- Deselecting creatures can be done by holding down ctrl and clicking on the creature type portrait or by holding down ctrl and dragging over creatures in the dungeon.

Once you have creatures selected they should be visible in the right edge of the screen.
Then you can use ctrl+1...0 to assign them to a group. After this is done you can use 1...0 to select the creatures in that group again.
Moving around selected creatures is done with a left click on the map. To deselect all creatures you right click the mouse.

Glado to elaborate. What you said was exactly the expected behavior.
Only issue is that if you select units "by holding down shift and clicking on the creature type portrait" then you can't create a new group using Ctrl+1...0. The group won't be saved as if your selection was empty.

To reproduce:

1- Select any creature through shift+portrait clicking.
2- Create group by pressing ctrl+1.
3- Deselect and press 1. There will be no units selected (as if the group was empty or never formed).
