Solved & Confirmed 0.9f-3 - External FHD Monitor Flickering
#1
Hi this is my first post.

I'm running an external screen attached via HDMI from my Lenovo Y50 laptop:
CPU: i7-3770K 3.9GHz
GPU: GTX 660 Ti 2G Ram
Ram: 16 GB

Laptop is set to use GTX 860M on default for all applications & is running without any issues on other games.
When running on 1920x1080 resolution the screen starts to flicker in-game.

Running on lower setting 1680X1050, the flickering disappears, but the resolution is not FHD anymore.

I cannot edit my first post - just posting it here in corrected version:

Hi ocnuybear, welcome to the forum Smile

Could you describe the flickering, is it like each frame rendered is black or does it have a higher frequency?
Also, is the whole screen flickering or just the parts that are 3d rendered (not the GUI that is)?

Added to the list of Bugs/Issues & Crashes!

Hi Rasmus,

It is like the whole screen's refresh rate so low your eye's can see it, although my framerate counter says it is 60Hz

When pressing Alt-Shift to bring up the steam interface, the words on it is actually out of focus.

Hi Rasmus,

I have installed the newest Nvidia driver & the flickering seems to be gone ( will have to do more testing ), but still having the out of memory error.
