Solved & Confirmed 0.11.6 BT - Crash: Error unqueueing OpenAL buffers! Function: SoundManager:_PlaySound
#1
This time game is crashing few seconds after I start any game.

Error!
Function:
SoundManager::_PlaySound

Message:
Error unqueueing OpenAL buffers!
ErrorID: 40964
OpenAL source id: 2

Stack trace:

3 0
2 BaseThreadInitThunk 1954691280
1 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096
0 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096

After restarting the game (with Continue option):

Function:
CheckErrorLog

Message:
This program was unexpectedly finished last time it ran.

Error type: Error!

Message body:
Function:
SoundManager::_PlaySound

Message:
Error unqueueing OpenAL buffers!

After restarting the game a Windows mouse cursor is also visible along with game cursor, like here: OpenAL error after closing the game & not hidden system cursor after start - I know this and that bug may be related to the same topic, but previous errors with OpenAll did not crash the game like now did.

Hmm ok, so if you read my comment here: http://forum.dwelvers.com/showthread.php...9#pid14419
You see that the worst thing that could happen happened Undecided

I can't upload a new version until tonight unfortunally Sad

Btw, originally when you play the game, do you hear sounds at all?

Yes and I think all of them. It's interesting because in 0.10 version I haven't got any of reported in Bugs/Issues & Crashes forum error messages.
What's more interesting I had this crash once even in main menu, just after launching Dwelvers, than I did Alt+Tab and than got error window: Fullscreen failed (DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE)! - wchich happens only if I do Alt+Tab in main menu and haven't started any game mode yet (like this in Alt+Tab "throws flashbangs" at your face and runs the game in windowed mode) and than after getting this error 4-10 seconds past and got OpenAll error that actually did not crash the game, but I only have the option to Terminate the game. <-- This happened twice for me ATM, if DXGI error didn't show up I could be in the main menu as long as I wanted to, but then after starting a New game in skirmish mode I got this error I posted above.

EDIT: I tried to reproduce an error message with Open All after DXGI error showed up and I could do it, after that I got this error with Terminate option:

Function:
SoundManager::_PlaySound

Message:
Error unqueueing OpenAL buffers!
ErrorID: 40964
OpenAL source id: 17

Stack trace:
4 0
3 0
2 BaseThreadInitThunk 1954691280
1 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096
0 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096

It looks very similar to that one before, but earlier I could play with that error (before it stated that error is about "SoundManager::_StartThread" now it's about "SoundManager::_PlaySound").

Also if I don't get DXGI error, enter main menu than Quit the game game shows that it's closing it's functions and than in the middle of closing Windows says that program doesn't operate and did not close properly. I also get this error again:

Function:
SoundManager::_StartThread

Message:
Error unqueueing OpenAL buffers!
ErrorID: 40964
Internal source id: 16
OpenAL source id: 17

Stack trace:
3 0
2 BaseThreadInitThunk 1954691280
1 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096
0 RtlUnicodeStringToInteger 1999068096
