If your ladder is on top of a mine tile, it removes the counter so you only see the resource in the tile, but not how much it's been mined.

Sounds like it is related to the issue with not being able to sell buildings on the same tile as ladders.

Added to the list of Bugs/Issues & Crashes!

Solved with the next version! It was directly related to this issue: http://forum.dwelvers.com/showthread.php?tid=1867 ...that you couldn't select the mine and therefore not get any information.
