I've ran several maps, and each time the Wave Timer is visible during the 1st and 2nd Wave, but disappears so the 3rd and subsequent Waves don't show up.

Hmm, I think it has to do with the progressive mode option. If that one is checked three waves opens up per portal you take over. If you don't open up any new portals after the three waves it disappears until the next portal is conquered.

Added to the list of Bugs/Issues & Crashes!
