Professor of Ion's from the underworld
#1
Hello and greetings I am Prof_Ion, feel free to just call me prof or ion. Either work just fine for me. Smile I am brand new to this game and did a live stream of it last night. I am hopping to do another one very soon, as I am quite enjoying the game. I found this game over on the BTW (Better Than Wolves) forums. Where someone had made mention of it in the off topic sub-forum. I checked it out and immediately downloaded it. I am a big fan of RTS games. I play Timber and Stone, Gnomoria, Rim World, a little Dwarf Fortress (total noob), and I have been looking into prison architect. I love how this game takes place in the underworld, partly due to my interest of the dark, and mysterious. I played this game for a good many hours just yesterday alone. I think the stream went on for 3+ hours. I was only going to stream for an hour. I am also a YouTuber, I do editing, and have an audio guy who makes the music I sometimes play in the background of my streams and videos. I was drawn to this game first by the video for the 0.5b (I think that's right) release video that Rasmus put a link to on the BTW forums a short while back. I watched as he showed the hydraulics system off and I instantly became interested in the game. I love RTS and then adding a logic system (a logic system being similar to minecraft's redstone.) I was just excited about the game to no end. I started playing and I was not disappointed. I was able to pick it up pretty easily, and though I made some early mistakes. (to bad I wasn't recording) I soon fell in love with the game. I am planning another live stream here today or tomorrow. Link will be bellow. I hope to be able to cover this game in my streams as it grows, as I am VERY interested in it. I am looking forward to seeing where it goes. Anyhow that is the tidbits about me. I will be around a while, as I am gonna be playing Dwelvers tonight even if I can't stream it. Might even start a YouTube series or make a video for it. We will have to see where that goes.

Link to twitch as promised. http://www.twitch.tv/prof_ion

Also I was late on livestream and it's says that it's Offlin.. I'm not familiar with Twitch TV, but as I know there possibility to put recorded Livestream as normal video on your channel or something, right? Is there any way to be able to see what have you recorded? Smile

Nice to see new face on our forum! I'm also looking forward to see something about Dwelvers on your YouTube channel. Smile

Welcome professor! Nice to meet you again Tongue
I have actually never been on twitch, but it seems like a lot of fun Smile

It is really cool that you have interest in the hydraulics, a lot of people seem to miss those when playing the game, or just make a simple pressure pad -> cannon connection. The idea with the hydraulics is a lot like Minecrafts redstone, right now it is pretty simple, but some fun stuff can still be made. But in the future I will probably start expanding the hydraulics a lot and maybe even dedicate whole missions to them Smile

Hey man, it's awesome to see another vlogger join us. The forum has grown quite a bit in the past few months, and I think that has a lot to do with people coming across video of the game made by people like you. Plus, it's always good to have another voice with input and suggestions on how the game is and could progress. Welcome to our community!

@Sebt. Yes I can make my past streams as VODs (Video on Demand) but they changed some stuff and I am yet to fix it so it will save them again. I can also set the stream to record to my hard drive. I ended up not streaming last night. (fell asleep so I will do one tonight instead. Sadly I think most of you of Rasmus's was will be asleep. I will work on good streaming times.

@Rasmus. Yeah man those hydraulics. I love them. I have some suggestions about them that I will post as soon as I can. I am a senior in high school, so I am kinda busy. Tongue But I am home schooled so that makes my schedule more flexible. For example I just woke up it is 1 P.M. as compaired to my standard 9 A.M. wake up time. I have worked with a 6 hour time difference before so this won't be to big of a deal.

Thank you all again for the big welcome. I am looking forward to making videos of this game. I have already had a lot of fun with it. I am also going to be uploading my first video right after I write this post. YouTube channel link will be down below. I enjoyed putting the video together, tried to keep it short runs about 16 minutes so about half what I would normally do.

I laughed when I heard that one Smile
My voice is usually described as having an overly Swedish accent in it, but sounding like Dracula, that was a new one Big Grin
