Solved & Confirmed 0.6c - Water Bug
#1
While digging around a lake the water started going crazy, showing intermittent waterfalls, that would build up and then disappear continuously. As shown in the screenshots.

Before all this started up the water in the area appeared rather calm, and normal. This behavior looked almost like I was pressing Alt+W to create water, but I wasn't.

I'll play around with that area, digging and building walls in and around that bugged out water to see what happens. I'm not sure if I'll get to it today, as I'm pretty busy with Christmas activities today but I should be able to get to it tomorrow for sure.

Great, I didn't have the right software to make a video about it otherwise I would have. That video definitely shows the bug quite well.

+1 for finding that video.

You didn't post anything about it at the time, so how was anyone to know who made it? Tongue

Besides, you now seem to be fishing for a rep boost so I'm not gonna give it to ya, fish-man Tongue

Hmm, now that you mention it, I do seem to remember reading that thread. I wasn't sure what the bug was though, as you didn't specify it in the post.

because there's a bug obviously, but when practically you say "seems legit" it's not very descriptive as to what the bug is. Even Rasmus originally thought you were posting about Alt+W! Tongue

I will have to put all water bugs to "will be solved in future version". This is because the water physics need to be remade from the foundation.

Something about the pathfinding with water tiles seems broken.

I have attached a screen shot, and save game.
